pic above (left):- Catfish caught at 37lb 15oz New record set April 2007 at 39lb 4oz and still stand unbeaten and we are not sure if its even the same fish but one things for sure all our fish are totally home grown and not stocked at this size so are in tip top non stressed condition and our first 40lb is on the cards very soon. (right) One of several huge Crucian style Carp we have seen the last year or so. If these could be pure Crucians we have seen several just onces short of the British Record.
Revels Fishery is set deep in the Dorset country side 9 miles from both Sherborne in one direction and the county town of Dorchester in the other. The fishery consists of 7 day ticket fishing lakes extensively stocked with coarse fish, 2 local Trout Fly lakes and a further 3 exclusive Coarse lakes, a large on site tackle shop stocked with an extensive range of equipment Coarse, Sea and Game inlcuding live Coarse and Sea baits and we also offer self catering holiday accomodation.
We have had numorous press features on catches from our fishery including several front page features over the last few years.
We are open 7 days a week at the shop from 7am. Check with us on closing times and the fishery is open all the time. Night fishing is available although night anglers must be in by 6p.m or booked in over the phone in advance of arrival. 24hr CCTV is in operation

The group of lads from a You Tube video series on fishing called 'BACK OF THE LANDING NET' have completed a session here at the fishery and even with the conditions against them the results can be seen in the video below.
We have 13 lakes and ponds in total (7 Dayticket Coarse lakes & 2 trout lakes and a further 4 exclusive Coarse lakes and ponds) covering some 18 acres laid out as follows:-. There is a main complex of 4 lakes which are stocked extensively with 18 spieces of fish. 5 types of carp to 30lb+. Roach, Rudd, Bream, Tench, Chub, Dace, Perch e.t.c all to specimen sizes. These lakes are available for day ticket and night fishing.
There is then a further 2 lakes on adjoining property. The bottom of these is stocked with Pike of various sizes and a few very large carp to 30lb+ which in this lake have a reputation of being challenging to catch also a few rudd and tench and very big Bream. The top lake is stocked very heavily with carp to double figures, Crucian carp, Roach and Bream. This lake regularly produces bags of fish to 200lb+ during the summer months and a pleasure bag record was set summer 2006 with over 400lb in a 10hour sesion. There are also a few large Pike in here as well. These 2 lakes are available for day ticket fishing but there is no night fishing allowed on these 2 waters
We then have one recentaly enlarged water (which used to be our stock pond) and above it a further very small water which is for the exclusive use of our resident holiday anglers only. There is then a further new small water (just recentally enlarged a lot see our blog link above) in the same field we use for touring caravans and this is used exclusively for persons holidaying with us, season ticket holders and matches and is stocked heavily with carp 1-7lb and private or corporate bookings are welcome.
We then have a Specimen lake separate from the rest of our waters which is very heavily stocked with double figure Carp and Catfish. This lake is fished by advance booking only. When booked you have the lake exclusively to yourself and your collegues.Night fishing is allowed. It is booked for periods of 24 hours at a time. We also have 2 lakes about 5 minutes drive from the fishery which are used for Trout Fly fishing. This is a new venture please follow link below for more details.

We have 7 self catering chalet type mobile homes on site. These are booked per van at very competitive prices and hold upto 4 persons per van. Bookings are inclusive of all heating, hot and cold running water, and unlike other fisheries while you are on site we DO NOT charge extra for the main complex of lakes. So fishing is free on all Day ticket lakes on the main complex whilst you are a resident with the exception of the Specimen lake and Trout lakes. Also just about all our lakes are easy walking distance from the accomodation with your gear so there is no messing about loading your car to drive to the different waters. CARAVANNING AND CAMPING AT REVELS
We have a 4 acre flat very accessible field just yards from the main complex of lakes complete with several caravan style electrical hook-ups, separate toilet and showers as well as one of our newer lakes so you can fall out of your van and fish to your hearts content. We are not a commerialised holiday park and we aim towards anglers rather then holiday makers and ask any groups of youngsters or persons with dogs planning on staying with us to ring us before booking. Resisdents staying in tourers get fishing at a reduced day ticket rate of just £3.50 a day or £7 24hr or a week access all areas ticket (not Catfish or Trout poole) £20 Day only or day and night fishing £40. A day ticket purchased from us entitles you to fish any of the day ticket waters on site we don't believe in charging separate for each lake as we believe if an angler wants to fish our waters then they should be free to choose whichever lake they wish. All our dayticket coarse lakes are easily walkable from the shop and car park and you do not have to drive to the different coarse lakes.

On site is an extensively stocked 1000ft² tackle shop stocked with a vast aray of gear catering for all branches of angling from Coarse, Sea, Game and Specialist tackle. Every corner of the shop is packed with rods, reels, bags, nets, accessories and much more. We also keep a huge array of baits for Coarse and Sea fishing including maggots and live ragworm and lugworm. We are open every day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (3.30pm Sundays)We are always monitoring the tackle trade for surplus or clearance stock so bargains are always available. And we pride ourselves in tracking down the more unusual items ideal presants for the angler who has everything.

From Dorchester town centre roundabout head towards Sherborne. At loders garage on the edge of town turn right sign posted "Sherborne alternative route for light vehicles"(its NOT the A352 if you find yourself on the A352 then return to Dorchester and try again as this road will take you a long way out of your way) follow this road over bridges and past the Sun Inn public house then a further 8 miles. Past Giants Head Caravan Park a further mile down Revels Hill and we are at the foot on the right hand side.
From A30 at Sherborne get on the A352 towards Dorchester. Follow this road through Long Burton, Holnest and then Middlemarsh. In Middlemarsh the road forks take the left fork off the A352 sign posted "Dorchester alternative route for light vehicles." Take this fork Past wood mills and we are one mile further on the left hand side.

ONSITE MONTHLY POULTRY AUCTION
These still take place onsite although nothing directly to do with us. They take place on the first Sunday of each Month from March to November and include entries of anything poultry or bird related from common and garden poultry to unusual and rare breeds also cage and ornamental birds, hatching eggs and sundries.
